The moves played before the starting position (so black can't castle). Normal armageddon allows black to castle, karmageddon does not. Those starting moves guarantee that the Karmageddon variant can be analysed with any chess engine in any GUI (making it "thematic chess").

Thanks for the game!
Are you interested in playing this game with reversed colors? Then you couldn't castle but if you draw you win, so we could see if white can't win this it's a variant that doesn't work at these time controls.

Sure but give me a week or so as I need to catch up on a few household items now that our provincial govt has decided to allow designated stores to re-open.
Last game was my first 'armageddon' - the OTB armageddons I just never followed or intend to follow as frankly I have some issues with it.
No mind we can play anyway - thanks for offering !!

Mine too! I'm seriously feed up with games where I play better but not better enough and it ends in a draw, this is a flaw of chess itself and I've been looking for a replacement. Armageddon gets rid of draws and allows one to use what already exists to analyze games, so it's the best candidate I've seen, but if in the game where you're black you equalize easily and I have no chance of winning it'd be the death of the variant...
Thanks for accepting my challenge for later, and stay well.
I've been driving around the city looking for a vacuum cleaner repair shop thinking (wrongly) that they might have been allowed to open. No such luck and my wife is going bananas and driving me bonkers. Man she's one-click away from going bat-shit-crazy and we have sharp pointy things in the kitchen.
OK so lets start the game ..
.. do the honours will you please !!
