I remarked in the general chat thread at this start of this round that even though I have two scheduled games this round, it could almost be that I end up having two single games. My game with Pawel might be finished before this one really starts.

I was thinking of being a real stodge and play 1. ... d5, but decided to liven up the game with 1. ... Nf6.

Agree.That's right. But sometimes too much confidence can get lost.

Last year i checked the times Jitan was Doing his Moves. Guess the result ... There was no hour of the day without a move of him.

So: just ignore Jitans time. Take your time as in every other game.

If I can, I intend to take this all the way into the depths of Christmas. Of course for me, being here in Australia, that is roasting hot days. But the sentiment is there. I do apologise early (pun intended) to anyone who was hoping for an early payout of prizes, but I am going to try and use as much of my time control as possible, which in some games has actually been very difficult.
