I fill in 2 paths without quotes in the 2 edit boxes in the Rybka engine parameters windows as follows below:
1. Persistent Hash File = C:\hashfiles\persistent\
2. Saved Hash File = C:\hashfiles\saved\
In addition, I check the "Persistent Hash Enabled" box. Besides, I would check the "Preserve Analysis" box if I plan to use an *interactive* infinite analysis.
I successfully made a clean install of Windows XP on my computer last month and I updated everything. The Windows XP SP3 looks very healthy and almost everything is at default.
My Rybka uses 256 MB hashtable.
Please help me to solve the problem so that Rybka will successfully create 2 hash files automatically.
I am waiting for your help.
Thanks in advance,

Wrong! What part of It should point directly to the file itself (ie. not just the directory) is so hard to understand?
Persistent Hash File = C:\hashfiles\persistent\Foo.rph
You can also use relative paths, e.g. just Foo.rph.

They will exist after Rybka creates them. See the examples in my previous post.
When I fill in the edit box a name of the path *with* a name of a new file as follows below:
Then when Rybka loads, it creates the new "Foo.rph" file on the hard disk.
Thank you for your help. :-)
