Rybka 3 is often reluctant to display more than one variation. I have experimented with various values of "MultiPV_cp" to try to force the GUI to display more than one line, e.g., -200 but the parameter generally defaults back to 0.
How can one restore the behavior of Rybka 2.3.2a in the GUI to force it to display the two top lines?

Some GUIs reset engine parameters to zero, you need to make sure that this isn't happening.

I can tell you that SMK's Deep Shredder 11 GUI resets to "0" and that can't be stopped--a real nuisance but unfortunately we have to stay with DS GUI for now.

Can't you save a parameter profile in the Shredder GUI? Then you could just load the right profile which would reduce the trouble quite a bit...

I tried, but some parameters are reset.

Hmmm.... Too bad. With older Fritzes it does work this way...

More annoying is not being able to use Move Ignoring under the Shredder GUI :(

Seems Vas has neglected GUIs completely.

Move ignoring works (of course). It's handled via the "searchmoves" command.

Oh yeah, it's working now, sorry.

You mean the CB GUI from Shredder (Fritz GUI)? In Shredder GUI from SMK all is fine. MultiPV_cp = -32768 and it works.

I am referring to Deep Shredder 11 GUI, not CB GUI from Shredder (whci I don't have).
"MultiPV_cp" constantly resets to "0" no matter what I do.

I have this problem only with the Fritz GUI! :-) Shredder GUI works fine.

I don't succeed in creating the "hash file".  I give "on" the option "preserve analysis".
And in the windows beside (where "empty" is written) I have write the name the file - save hash - : C\analog.txt . But I have not any file saved in my PC. The have Shredder 9 GUI.

This is unrelated to persistent hash.
