I used to be able to scroll down to the bottom of the main page to do my stuff, like, surfing the forum. But now, ehh.

No, I'll just go and block the ad. I was hoping it was view based and that they were going to get something from my views, but annoying ads should be killed. With fire. If it's not view based, but click based, then it will make no difference as I never clicked it.

People annoyed by the newly ridiculous ad running Firefox and the Stylish plug in can ask me for the code by PM.

Great idea. I blocked it and works like a charm.

It's up to you, but this is what keeps the forum going. If you have a better idea, just let me know and I'll consider it.

Could you make it so that the ad extends to the right of the page instead of to the bottom? With a horizontal scrollbar at the bottom to see the entire ad.

That is, the table that holds the forum's contents could use what is using now (since I'd hate a fix for the ad to ruin it further), the ad would extend to the right of the page instead of the bottom, so while the ad's links that appear on the ad would remain visible, the bottom of the page would not be disrupted.

It would look like this:

(Right-click View image to see in full)

So, to see the entire ad, the user scrolls to the right instead of to the bottom. I probably overshoot since in my image the ad goes to The Edge, and it only needs to go up to "Powered by mwForum 2.27.3 © 1999-2012 Markus Wichitill", but you get the idea.

You can make a slideshow. It's easy to setup if you have access to ad's markup.

I would be willing to try different methods of presenting the ads, like you and Uly suggest. I do have access to the ad's markup, but I don't know when this will get to the top of my priority list. If it's easy and you would like to give it a try, just send me a PM.

Is it view based or click based? If the latter I could unblock it every Sunday and give it a click, or something, which would be infinitely more profitable that the 0 clicks I've given it so far.

I don't like such methods.

With the help of nebulus, I have changed the ad to a slideshow with three slides. I'll try to use this method in the future if the ads are too long.

Thanks, much better now! I've unblocked it (though, if it's not view based, my unblocking of it won't make a difference.)

You don't want to mess with Dadi, you just don't:

Agreed. It’s really annoying now.

I only get the ad on the right hand side of the page and it does not affect the viewing of the forum except for making the forum smaller because it does not go to the right hand side of the page.

Yeah, probably only people with small screen resolutions (800x600 here) are adversely affected.
