The post reply notifications appears only in the main page of the forum which is not used most of the time.
It would be better if the notification appears in any page of the forum so you would know immediately.

TIA

Actually, the main page of the forum is by far the most common entry point for users. Therefore it would be annoying for most users to have this list appear and take up valuable space on other pages.

I actually have only the Rybka page bookmarked because this is where all the action is. Only when im finished from there that I might go to other pages.
The Rybka page has over 22 times the posts of all other pages combined!. Which gives you a good idea on the most used page of the forum.

Its not the entry point of the forum, becasue the users may bookmark other pages, its where the users spend most of their time.
Most of the time the users are at the Rybka page and when there is a response they wouldn't know about it unless they go to the main page.

Another suggestion, when the user clickes on a Post replay notification then that notification be removed automatically because the user responded to it (or if you want to be sophisticated, then only its color changes to indicate its been used)

Thanks :)

My statement about http://rybkaforum.net being by far the most common entry point for users is based on statistics from the webserver's log files. In fact, it is used more often as an entry point than all other entry points combined. And there is a good reason for that. Even if you are mostly interested in reading a single board you get some nice advantages at the cost of one extra click!

The next version will delete notifications when their links are followed. This will apply to all types of notifications (post reply, new private message etc.)

Or you can just put an indication in the Top Title header of post replies
