> • Added: Text snippets for posts.

Text snippets can be used for frequently typed text. This feature is available on this board for demonstration purposes. When writing a post, select the text snippet from the drop-down list above the text area and click the "+" button to insert the text. There are two options available, one which can be used when reporting engine match results and the other one contains a standard reply if you run into a post from a brand new user who says he is beating a chess engine in every game he plays.

After inserting a text snippet you can edit it as you wish, add more text etc.

If you think this is a useful feature please post your text snippet suggestions.

That would be quite a lousy moderator who does that ;)

I like the new user stats (map), quite cool :)

Hello Dadi,

why don't anymore display Page Number at the bottom of the current Page?

it worked earlier:

Hi, is there any chance that we get back to "old forum behavior"?

Old behavior: After clicking the [^] button on the post, one gets teleported to the post the user is replying to. Afterwards, one can hit the Browser's back button to got back to the message (the one where one clicked the [^] button).

New behavior: After clicking the [^] button on the post, one gets teleported to the post the user is replying to. Afterwards, clicking the Browser's back button takes one to the previous page one was visiting. There is no way to go back the the post one was reading (the one where one clicked the [^] button) other that looking for it manually, and scrolling.

I know this is really old behavior (two or three updates ago or so), but it became a problem in the All are in mistaken ? thread where it is very hard to read bob's replies and then see to who he was replying to, and then keep reading his replies below.

I'm surprised that there aren't more requests to change this back. I agree that the old method was very convenient and a nice feature.

It's not working like it should.

Example:

In this thread:

http://rybkaforum.net/cgi-bin/rybkaforum/topic_show.pl?tid=23996

I clicked on "Next New Or Unread Post" down arrow on turbojuice1122 Message that said "Which post?  Where?"

http://rybkaforum.net/cgi-bin/rybkaforum/topic_show.pl?tid=23996#pid396113

That brought me to Arrière Pensée's Message that said "How can you possibly state that". I continue scrolling down to read messages, until I'm at Geomusic Message "I like this answer! ahaha", the message he's replying to is of a very old branch, so I click "Go To Parent Post" to read it.

Now I click my Browser's Back button. Expected behavior:

Returning to Geomusic message.

What happens instead:

I return to Arrière Pensée's Message.

(This is difficult to depict since it depends on what are your unread messages, but basically, when clicking Back in the Browser you're returned to the last message that you were directed to after clicking "Next New Or Unread Post" instead of to the post where you clicked "Go To Parent Post".)
