:-) :-) :-)
That´s unfair!
Parent - By turbojuice1122 (Gold) Date 2009-11-14 18:04
Well, on the CEGT rating list, the strongest version of Amyan currently available has a rating of 2611, which isn't too bad--about the same as Spike 0.9a and Fruit 2.0 and stronger than Junior 7 and far ahead of Fritz 6. :-)

I agree Roland, that's unfair :)

Looking at the participants,Rybka is ahead of this field big time.

Crafty could provide some trouble.

It did!

Yes, in tournaments, Crafty seems to be Rybka's nemesis more than any other engine out there!

Rybka's endgame play in round three is really weird. Bug?
Parent - - By Felix Kling (Gold) Date 2009-11-14 22:56
looks like one. Unbelievable that the cluster can beat strong centaurs but draws against pure engines :)

For some reason the game is not posted here.

I also have no idea where to find the pgn of all the games of the tournament.

found no link to the games but only link to the results after looking at

Only because of 47. Bd6?? (played after 41"):
3b4/8/p7/3pP3/1B1Pk1p1/1pK5/1P4P1/8 w - - 0 47

I think it´s Vas´solution of the blind bishop bug! :-)
Or maybe a "new" EGTB bug.

Very strange indeed!  Also in this position seems like something else went wrong ... Kc2 still should win but ... Ka3 ??? was played

Rybka 232a show Kc2 with ~ +2.xx,  Shredder 12 shows Ka3 and Kc2  with 0.00 score.

Upps, Roland you are faster :-)

Do not be so proud of this win, crafty has drawn you twice in a row fox example if memory serves correct. Not much of an accomplishment to win this tourney in my view, But still love the lil girl, not too much of a fan of that cluster -R3 tho. Perhaps it is R4, maybe not gonna be so overwhelming.

There is a difference though, Crafty had a dead draw last time but in this game the draw was due to some sort of bug or bugs.  That is a problem that should be looked at as it could easily be a loss.  I wonder if this bug was Cluster specific or if it was inherent in the latest Rybka beta.

Crafty could have had a draw before the bug crept in - 39...a5
