I have a problem with updating Chess Assistant 10.
I downloaded manually the zip files sub_2008_08_01, sub_2008_08_02, sub_2008_08_03, sub_2008_08_04, sub_2008_09_01, sub_2008_09_02, sub_2008_09_03, sub_2008_09_04, sub_2008_10_01, sub_2008_10_02, sub_2008_10_03, sub_2008_10_04, sub_2008_10_05 and sub_2008_11_01 but I don't know what to do with them. How do I open these files and add them to HugeBase?

If I remember right there's an automatic update function. You can find it on the right side in the menu on the top (under something like help I thnk). It downloads the files and adds them to the hugebase.

But the automatic update doesn't work. It downloads 2% and then it stops forever. So how can I do it manually?

if nothing has changed in 10 from 9, you just use the Join function. I think it is located in the file menu, or by rightclicking on the base you want the files to be joined. You have a dialogue box there where you just add all bases you want to join.

If you use auto update, all new databses added automatically.
If you use web update in Ca9(10), all new bases in ca10(9)/bases/temporary/.. folder in zip format
You need to add them manually

Hate to burst that bubble but- that " Auto update " just doesn't cute the mustard-
Like I indicated above occasionly it blows out on you leaving you hanging in the breeze-
and that is not " Cosmic Jive debris!" :-D
Let's face it- Your chief aint in the kitchen and your server is out to lunch-
