Ok I had Rybka (64 bit non multiprocessor) running in CB fine. Just realized it was the 64 bit non-multi. So i delete those files. I then took the 64 bit multi rybka files and moved them into c/programfiles/chessbase/engines where the other files used to be.

I followed the normal steps http://rybkachess.com/index.php?auswahl=In+Chessbase to make it a uci engine. It all seems fine, I can see the Rybka 3 . uci file, in C:programfiles (x86)/chessbase/engines.

However if I go to CB 9 and do file new board. Then engines add a kibitzer non of the rybka engines are listed. I am totally stumped. If I go to Fritz9 gui i have the same problem. Fritz, Hiarcs, crafty etc are all listed, and I can use them just fine.

Thank you for the help

Just create uci again in CB9.

I did, and it creates it fine. however When I go to chessbase, open a new board, and then do engines add a kibiter rybka is not listed. However if I open the engines folder the rybka. uci is right in the folder

Do a search for rybka on the C: drive.  The .uci and exe's could be in several different places including some hidden files.

Both the .uci and the .exe are in the engines folder.

Also Rybka 2.3.2. uci is in the folder and it also is not being read.

I have no idea what happened this is very frustrating.

Ok

Well I kept making .uci engines. I have 5 rybka 3 in my engines folder right now. Finally Rybka 3 is an option when i open up a new board in CB9.

I have no idea why but it works so I am happy.

Thanks!
