I have ChessBase 10 and Fritz 11. I installed Rybka 3, and then wanted to import the Rybka-3 Book (on separate DVD). However, the "edit" / "openings book" / "copy tree to hard disk" option is grayed-out. So, I tried to manually copy the book to the proper folder. That worked, but Rybka 3 still refers to the Fritz 11 book... I can't seem to change that.
I did upgrade ChessBase 10 to the latest upgrade, but that didn't help. I also tried the "edit" / "openings book" / "import book". While that worked, I was still left with Fritz 11 as the default book.
Thanks!

Assuming your Rybka3.ctg is in the correct location (\My documents\chessbase\books), go to File - New - Openings book.... select Rybka3.ctg then click Open.... this should load your book
Thanks! That's the fix. Eventually I would have figured it out. I would have thought the Help menu or "Edit"/Book functions would guide me to that same option. It's like shopping in a store where you might find the same kind of item on 3 different aisles. Why not all in one place?!
Yes, Allen, I'd pay a good price for a book "Everything You Wanted to Know About Chessbase 10/Fritz"
