is there any Rybka member who thinks that Icy Shark Bar will lose this game.
I think we have a good chance of winning.
well you know we are all doing our best.
I know that, that is why I'm saying we have a pretty good chances for winning. :-)
what about draw ? :-)
> what about draw ? :-)
I think drawing chances are over 80%, perhaps over 90%.
unfortunately at this level, that is the normal result, but we hope to make an exception to that rule.
better not... ;-)

dont worry boys we wont still be in book at move 20.
whats blacks best move.
Is it not the Archangelsky variation ?
It could have been if we had gone down normal lines in the initial move order, but we are instead in a Zaitsev. We will probably still be very well in book at move 20.
after move 17 i believe there is a lot of play,of course they may have a pet line and deviate earlier.

12. a4 is known as most usual and very probably the best here.
sorry i have just deleted my reply,i forgot this is an open forum
An interesting resource. Shredder site also has something like this, only their database is not very up-to-date. Here, a quick check shows there are some serious novelties?!!! Do you know what source they use for their tree?

i am very confidant that this game will enrich opening theory, and that OTB players who deviate from whites main line,do so at there peril
You may consider that opponents could use non commercial chess programm. It does not mean that it is the weaker one.
maybe Hydra,ha ha.
just watch that vas doesn't stab you in the back with cluster rybka! XD
when Kullberg plays,he plays for us.
in no games have we had any help from Larry or Vas, nor asked for any.i would just like to put this on record.

hehe, I was just joking :).
Otherwise I know, I kept track of the match with hiarcs. This one with the gladiators promises to be even more exiting becouse of the opening!

I do not mean it. I wanted to warn you ;-) because I estimate that you are in worse situation then group of chess professionals.
There are many talented programmers and chessplayers in Russia so ... it is very probable that there are programs written or modified on individual request. That programms could be stronger then serial programs like F11, R3, Z.... :-(.
Like on the car market - there are Fiats and Ferraris ;-) .
If the russian media would treat that match more seriously then you can expect the stronger professional computer on the opposite site.
So you can face the professional driver in a professional car.

Even more Mexico :) That's what was played in the three games there.
i take it for granted you are looking in on us and what we are thinking.
Now and then. Not much to say about these opening moves.
