I was wondering where i could find a very strong centaur player to play a 3 day per move game with. Both as black and white and use of any computer program is allowed.
Parent - - By Laszlo (***) [fr] Date 2008-10-06 15:14
Very strong? Relative... :)
Parent - - By benben (***) [au] Date 2008-10-06 15:16
Well strong enough to be able to beat someone who only uses rybka 3 for each move giving roughly an hour for each move. (dual core)
Parent - - By Laszlo (***) [fr] Date 2008-10-06 15:24
We can start it, if you want...
Parent - - By benben (***) [au] Date 2008-10-06 15:36
Sure thing, Thank you for your time, but how can we play both black and white? (if you would like we can play on some other website?)
Parent - - By Laszlo (***) [fr] Date 2008-10-06 15:46
Chessplanet.com is OK?
Parent - - By benben (***) [au] Date 2008-10-06 16:29 Edited 2008-10-06 16:34

Parent - - By Laszlo (***) [fr] Date 2008-10-06 16:59
Try this link. (I have just changed.)

No. See http://chessok.com/?page_id=408

Oright thats done my username is benben1 again. please challenge me to 2 games both as black and white 5 days per move. i will make moves frequently but make it 5 just in case. Also a friend of mine (2100 FIDE rated) will be helping me in this game as well as rybka 3. good luck
Parent - - By Laszlo (***) [fr] Date 2008-10-06 17:25 Edited 2008-10-06 17:30
OK. Your last post was the 64th... :)

My name will be "Gordonka". My best elo was 2270, but I play rarely. I'm  amateur player (with some gm scalps.)
Parent - - By benben (***) [au] Date 2008-10-06 17:35
Ok if you challenge me that would be great since this program is too confusing for me. :)
Parent - - By Laszlo (***) [fr] Date 2008-10-06 17:59
:)
I have just found you. I'm telling you. Go to the Correspondance group, and challenge "Gordonka". If not, I will find you there...
Parent - - By benben (***) [au] Date 2008-10-06 18:03
easier said that done, the problem is i do not know how to challenge ... this software sure is troublesome...
Parent - - By Laszlo (***) [fr] Date 2008-10-06 18:14
It is my problem too... :)
Parent - - By benben (***) [au] Date 2008-10-06 19:12
i suggest playing on another website. how about gameknot.com etc
Parent - - By Laszlo (***) [fr] Date 2008-10-06 19:36 Edited 2008-10-06 19:39
OK for gameknot.com

I'm there "gordonka2003"
Parent - - By benben (***) [au] Date 2008-10-07 02:41
very well i have challenged you there for a game as white but for some reason i cant challenge you again as black so maybe you can do that. lets begin the games...
Parent - - By Laszlo (***) [fr] Date 2008-10-07 04:02
OK I'm coming.
Parent - By benben (***) [au] Date 2008-10-07 05:15

I just branched/merged this post so indent doesn't get on the way.
Parent - - By Laszlo (***) [fr] Date 2008-10-07 11:01
OK, thx.
Parent - - By benben (***) [au] Date 2008-10-07 13:06
Thanks, by the way u want me to post the moves here or just on gameknot suffices?
Parent - - By Laszlo (***) [fr] Date 2008-10-07 13:18
Maybe some people are interested here. Every pair of moves?? (After every black move?) What do you think?
Parent - - By benben (***) [au] Date 2008-10-07 14:30
every pair of moves sounds good, but there are two simultaneous games...
Parent - - By Laszlo (***) [fr] Date 2008-10-07 15:03
No problem, imo. :) We can try it.

could i ask how to make the board appear?
Parent - - By Vempele (Silver) [fi] Date 2008-10-08 09:51
With copy-paste. Most GUIs can copy the board to the clipboard as a FEN.
Parent - - By benben (***) [au] Date 2008-10-08 10:06
Im using fritz 11 and used ctrl+c and then ctrl+v and as you can see above the board did not appear...
Parent - - By Vempele (Silver) [fi] Date 2008-10-08 11:43
Go to the final position and select Edit->Copy->Copy Position (CB9 doesn't have a shortcut for it, I doubt F11 does).
Parent - By benben (***) [au] Date 2008-10-08 15:23
thanks for that
