Hi I have been a rybka user for over a year now, mainly for analysis, but pretty much know how to turn on preserve analisys and stuff that can be easily turned on temporarily on the engine parameters. My intentions on this post is to ask questions like how to turn ponder on, merging or creating hash files and stuff that aviously are common to some of the power users but not so avious to some of us.

So I'll start with

1) What is ponder, how do we activated and what are the benefits and falts?

2) What are the steps to create a hash File, how do we save it , how do we re-loaded and how do we merge it( The instructions on the website are intended for advance users, please use lame terms)

ponder makes the engine think in the other player/engine's time as well , which i learned with shame is not a good idea with only 1 CPU/core - not at my own pc now so not sure where it was exactly , it's there between the options and parameters ;)

Incorrect. There's nothing wrong with pondering as long as the total number of cores used by the engines <= the number of cores you have. Pondering in human vs. computer is OK, for example.
