I have been playing some tourneys trying out different parameters of R3.  Here I played a tourney with R3 Dynamic with a 30 contempt against R3 Default.  The idea was to see if I could find some promising continuations and some new ideas in some of my book lines.  R3 Dynamic with the 30 contempt handicap scored much better than I thought and lost only by 5% ... it scored 45% against R3 !!!  Here is one of the games where strangely enough it plays very positionally  and seems to just wait for R3 Default to make a tactical mistake ... which it does ... and R3 Dynamic immediately pounces on it.  The depth of the tactical shot is quite difficult to see unaided ... try and see if you can figure out the moves without computer assistance.

In this position R3 Default plays the seemingly very reasonable Rxa4?



.... within seconds R3 Dynamic score goes to +1.93 and plays f3! winning ... the speed at which it finds tactical shots is something I have never seen before.  I have checked other engines and although some might go for f3 ... they most certainly will not give it a +1.95 evaluation ... at least not at the time frame I checked out the position.
