The second game of the match between the Hiarcs and Rybka fora has just started, and we will play our first move in probably less than 12 hours (possibly significantly less depending on how people end up voting). In general, things are the same as in the last game: 48 hours per move per side, and extra time does not carry over to the next move. In the second game, it will be Rybka Warriors vs. Hiarcs Headbangers, as we will have the white pieces. The first game can be seen in this thread.
If you wish to contribute to the discussion and votes for our side, please join the Rybka Warriors!
otherwise how long will the other moves take , i hope for d4 ;)
Currently awaiting the reply from the Hiarcs Hamsters...
Give me some men who are stout-hearted men,
Who will fight, for the right they adore,
Start me with ten who are stout-hearted men,
And I'll soon give you ten thousand more.
Shoulder to shoulder and bolder and bolder,
They grow as they go to the fore.
Then there's nothing in the world can halt or mar a plan,
When stout-hearted men can stick together man to man.
It was either that or Churchill quotes. I trust I made the right choice.

Is the Forum team prepared for 1... a5? :-P
PS: where/when/how do we vote?
I wonder ... since we can both use whatever engine etc we want , don't we end up just playing Rybka 3 matches LOL ... i predict a lot of draws ;)
Will it be broadcast to everybody ?
> Wow. Looks like fun!
Yes, the Hiarcs Headbangers are going to bring you lots of fun, probably another game where the Warriors think that they have an easy win but in the end find out that no matter what they do they can not beat us.
> I see that is has become like anti-computer humans against the strongest computers? They see themselves as having gained a moral victory if they are able to hold a draw after getting themselves into a worse position...
Hah! I guess you are kind of right, in my opinion every move we could have played would have led to at least a draw for black. Nf6, d5, e6, f5 or any decent move would gain at least 1/2 points and so there lies the problem. How to choose a move when all moves being considered will lead to the same result? Answer for me is to choose the move that leads to the most humiliation for the other team when they lose or draw the game. 1...f5 has a lot more to offer for us this time then the Morra, just wait and you will see. BTW I would have played this against 1.d4 as well, I knew you would not play 1.e4 so I had plenty of time to get ready for 1...f5.
But c4 is also very good.
> lets have some guessed replys, they have quite a choice.
I would guess 3..d6!! But who knows they we might anounce #22 after your move 4.??
I always had the filling that whit should take the advantage in this type of opening and that we nearlly never see this opening at the highest levels but failed to demonstrate a clear advantage for white.
> well, you guys have a strong and experienced team... you can let yourselves 'experiment' a little more :-)
We already experimented by sacrificing a pawn to you guys in game 1 and that resulted in you not being able to beat us. What more do you want? Knight odds?
besides, you keep calling it 'an experiment', but let's call a spade, a spade. in reality you're just covering up for the fact your team voted for a bad move. i wouldn't be surprised if you even were suspicious you had a mole or something. of course, you don't.... that was a 100%-hamster idea :-p
> it's really sad you couldn't win with white.
When you don't win with white and didn't sacrifice a pawn then what is that going to be? Pathetic?
