Maybe you should run the same poll in the Computer Chess section so those interested in Computer Chess will see it ;-)
Seriously though if 2 rooms is to stay - maybe when a topic is moved some indication can be left behind so that we don't get multiple threads started - or so people don't get as pissed wondering where their thread has gone. I read the post this morning by one of the moderators saying that you don't communicate with each other. Maybe you should agree some general rules so that there is consistency. Maybe you could provide a sticky, locked, thread somewhere that actually lets us know who the moderators actually are?
Best Wishes,
Harvey

One of the better idea, though I'm quite confident we'll still get many nearly identical treads - for good and for bad, anyoing because of the number of threads, or annoying due to the number of posts, that sometimes makes it a bit difficult to follow a line in a given thread.
Often people is either to lazy to seach, make the wrong seaches, or they're just new to the forum and post their question, remark etc. Anyway, I don't think we can avoid that people repost on a topic or use the slightly "wrong" subforum. So be it ;)
Personally I think it's good with a "computerchess" section, since "Rybka support" isn't about just any computerchess issue, but again the line is thin, and to be more conseqent we should have a hardware subforum too, since truly many threads is about about exactly that, hardware.
Well, Harvey, wont hold you back from from your cookbook writing, or the kitchen... What's it gonna be today, a fried little fish or a boiled pirahna? ;)
Cheers!
Well, Harvey, wont hold you back from from your cookbook writing, or the kitchen... What's it gonna be today, a fried little fish or a boiled pirahna? ;-)Well 1st i want to know why my RYBKA recipes get moved to the flip side? They are about Rybka. The section is called Rybka it does not say Rybka Computer Chess.
> Well 1st i want to know why my RYBKA recipes get moved to the flip side? They are about Rybka.
Yes.
I hope we'll get an answer to that - I don't have a clue right now, but have to guess, that someone thinks they're off topic. I don't see them as such, i have to admit - they're VERY Rybka-ish :)

Yup! ;)

These recipes had originally the word "fish" instead of "Rybka." You can't expect to change one word around and that your message suddenly becomes on-topic ;)
Anyway, I've been advised to be more flexible regarding offtopic posts like those (the thread was about the next 100 years in engine chess) so Rybka recipes will remain at the Rybka main forum from now on :)
And about the chaos caused by moving threads, I suggest the other moderators to not use the Move option (As it makes the original thread disappear) and to branch the whole thread instead (So the original thread stands with a cross-linking post and people don't need to create more threads about the same issue.)
With contests for the professionals? ;)
Suforum with fish recipies where the mainingredients is either a Rybka or Zappa? Web-kitchen administred by Harvey Williamson! :)
> I want to see Higher Intelligence Anti Rybka Chess System get stronger to beat Zappa Mexico. Since Harvey in another thread came with the information that ZAPPA is a fish. I want to see the recipe of HIARCS cook ZAPPA. :-)
But they would need to change their name to HIAZCS, and HIAZCS doesn't sound good ;)
I like that, :)
Alan

The subtitle says: Rybka games, positions, matches, tournaments and technical questions - are recipes a subset of technical questions?
I think the concept with the sections is not too difficult to understand...
