Was Rybka clearly winning? Dzindzi abandoned for time trouble?
Parent - By Felix Kling (Gold) [de] Date 2008-03-05 18:25
I think Dzindzi could have played better at move 45, the plan Rb1 Bd1 seems to lead to a draw. And yes, Roman had not much time left (around 8-9 minutes at move 45)

Rybka was clearly winning, and a possible continuation was: 58. Kg2 Rc2 59. Be2 Rc1 60. Kf3 Bf4 and white position is desperate. White does not have useful moves and Black King will go until d4. White pawns 'c' and 'd' will fall.

Rybka played very well today in the opening. There was not weird moves at all and played very natural and convincing, it pressed strongly during the whole game.

I wonder which was the last opening book move.

Regards,
Gaмßito.

But the game ended with 50...Rxb3, the rest is Rybka and Zappa analysis

Yes, you are right.

The game ended with 50. Rxb3 and not with 57. d2.

Gaмßito.

A variant could have been

51. Nxc5 Bxc5 52. Ra5 Rb2+ 53. Kg3 Bxc4 54. Rxc5 Bf7 55. Rc7 Kg8 56.Rd7 Rb3 57. Kf2 Rc3 58. Bd1 Re3 59. Ra7 Rd3 60. Ke2

rybka and team are getting less applause than when Mr Dzi. won... you'd think this is his forum ;)

"The most of the posters are humans  as Dzindzi"

:):):) Very true. I personally would have loved to see him give Rybka a hiding :)

Rybka losses are as Capablanca losses. It happens very rarely. :-)

No human had achieved a win in the previous matches. It deserves recognition from the human side.

Gaмßito.

Not quite true. Ehlvest also won one of the pawn handicap games. But no human has won in any match without a pawn handicap.

Very true, Any player that can put Rybka over his knee and give her a good spanking deserves our praise. :-)

It will become more and more a rare event from now on.

Well, I'm usually happy to root for the underdog.
