Up Topic Rybka Support & Discussion / Aquarium / Any way to get tree annotations into a CTG tree?

I started putting my repertoire into a ctg opening book where the play% for the other side are equal to the play% in human versus human for 1800+ over the past 10 years.
This way the computer will play like a human in the opening instead of playing random garbage to try and simulate the weakness of an organic player.
After the opening book ends it continues playing at whatever strength I set it to.

Right now my opening repertoire is stored in the move colors and annotations of a tree configuration. The annotations go into a pink box at the top of the tree window, not in the notation.

If I can get tree annotation to work in the CTG tree configuration then I can have it all in one place but it doesn't seem to work.
I added an annotation column and pointed it to an annotated tree. I can even get the window to open up and type things in it but can't get that pink text box to show up.

I attached a picture of what I am talking about.

You can add an annotation column in the configuration of the CTG tree. When the dialog asks you for the reference tree where the annotations are stored, select the tree you want.

The second to last line in what I wrote states that I tried that and it doesn't work, but thanks for taking the time to try and help.

That works for me - I have notes from one of my trees visible in a CTG configurati0on by adding a notes column (annotation) and pointing to that tree.  It *should* work if I understand what you are asking.  You can define how the notes appear (in the column or above the moves) by right clicking in the tree window and using the option for separate annotations.

Huh, it's working now.

Thank you both.

I reinstalled AQ2020 from scratch, so maybe that's what did it.
