Has anyone experimented with Stockfish NNUE?

https://www.chess.com/news/view/stockfishnnue-strongest-chess-engine-ever-to-com...

https://github.com/joergoster/Stockfish-NNUE

I am wondering if there is anybody publishing networks - for example what network is being used for the CCCC?  Is it the same one currently on github?  So far I have just used the default NN that was on github.

I have not personally used it yet, but I was reading more about it earlier today on Russell Sherwood's page.

Matt, this is useful, but when I went to discord, I did not see any files at all. In github, I saw a bunch of links but which one is the NN-SF executable?
Howeveer, the sergio link looks good.

Discord is where people discuss the engine and latest developments - it isn't a file server

The executable you pick will depend on your hardware and the size of the NN you use.  I know this one works:

stockfish.bmi2.halfkp_256x2-32-32.profile-nnue.2020-07-19.exe

This is where I think it is generally recommended to get the executable:

It has been merged into Stockfish - see latest dev builds and release notes at https://abrok.eu/stockfish/ .

I have Stockfish NNUE running now but for some reason it is only using 2 threads even though I set the threads to 30 in the engine settings (32 available with SMT2).

What's up with that?

Is it normal or am I missing something.

This is in an engine game vs. Komodo 13 MCTS, which is using all 30 threads just fine.

Mine is currently using eight threads

Yeah, I don't know what happened with that. It seems fine for analysis.

I like the way NNUE has more of an opinion than Normal Stockfish, which likes to paste 0.00 all over the place.

SF11 is particularly bad that way, and also seems to have some kind of bias towards the side who has the move.
If you let Normal Stockfish (Not NNUE) run to say 40 ply depth with white to move in a typical King's Indian position it will say something like 0.6, but then if you make the move it thinks is best it will say more like 0.25 after 39 ply, make that move and it goes back up.
I have not performed systematic experiments and it isn't my primary engine tool, but that is the impression I got from using it here and there for a couple of days.
