I wonder if 8.d5 is very good, or if its just that Stockfish has an unusually difficult time as black.

Back to my regular Cute Chess, this time with no Syzygy though.

Today's Stockfish offered to return the piece with 9...b4 but Lc0 declined twice with 10.a3 and 11.Nxa3.
Then Stockfish said 0.00 after its 11...Nc6 but Lc0 had it completely crushed in only 14 more moves!

Colors reversed of the above - an extremely different outcome.
Lc0 was able to return the piece and simplify with 12...Nge7.
Lc0 declined Stockfish's bishop offer 17.Bxh6 and simplified some more with 17...d6.
This was such a let down compared to the other games I called it a draw early - white has a pawn but black the bishop pair.
