My projects listings now often appear corrupted, e.g., with wrong entries. In the .png you can see that "IDeA project" is listed twice. Both are actual projects given actual names. This happens repeatedly. Also, some projects appear twice. Using Tree/Verify does not find any corrupted trees or projects.
Is there a file that contains all the project names, a file that I could delete and then recreate all my projects?
I now have a similar problem with listing of games in Database window where games disappear from listing, though I can reopen them since they are still in the Bases folder.

I just press the "x" to take it off the list.

Your problem has a familiar ring. Do you use Xfcc to update your ICCF games? If so, check the file xfccBasesList.xml found in the folder Aquarium Data\Config. It contains a list of each of your ICCF games by ICCF record number. If one or more of these records has somehow been duplicated in the file, it can lead to the duplication of projects that you describe, in which case deleting the duplicate lines in the file should resolve the problem. It did for me.

Thanks to Ppusher and Dickie for ideas. I don't use XFCC but did examine the .xml file. Unfortunately no solution there. Often when I click on a project in the open project list, its name changes to "IDeA Project". I can x it out to remove it but then I will just have to reopen that project.
I feel that some higher level config file is corrupted but don't know which one.

Is there a file that tells Aqr which databases are supposed to be open? Because Aqr insists on trying to open a nonexistent database.

The first minor problem has been solved: where on startup Aqr tries to open a non-existent (deleted) database, e.g., lagrave-karjakin.
In \Config is a file "LastSession.xml". I edited it to delete several references to "lagrave-karjakin". Had to be very careful with deleting HTML code to delete exactly the code (and nothing else) that referred to "lagrave-karjakin".

Now the hard part: find the file that controls the listing of projects and edit that to remove the junk.
