>Actually that would have been my Draw Odds suggestion (stalemate and more pieces also win..., maybe things like no castle or opposite castle...), maybe they bring it in for FIDE/ICCF someday.

So here's our game, a variant of chess where black wins if a draw is achieved in any way, but it can't castle, while white can. That's it.

You can copy this fen to your GUI to check the opening position.

rnbqkbnr/pppppppp/8/8/8/8/PPPPPPPP/RNBQKBNR w KQ -

It's also a position from thematic Armageddon after these moves:

1. Na3 Nc6 2. Nb1 Rb8 3. Na3 Ra8 4. Nb1 Nb8 5. Na3 Nh6 6. Nb1 Rg8 7. Na3 Rh8 8. Nb1 Ng8

You can also chicken out and refuse to play, but I'd count that also as a win!

Uly, what have you done?
!YOU have just thrown a challenge into my naked face!
Wasn't you teached and told that this is not the very friendly kind?

Still i like that idea, suggesting only to add one of "my" other "additions":
- Side which stalemates wins
OR
- Side with K+piece(Q/R/B/N) vs. naked K wins
(hell, normally we should add both, but i sadly know you too well...)

You decide.

The variant is already optimized for each side having 50% chance of winning, it's possible one of your untested changes drives your side to 90% chances of winning, so I'd rather keep pure Karmageddon.

...

Well, if you insist I'd have either of those options (you can decide) BUT I'd switch to the White side, it's theoretically loopsided in my favor, but who am I to complain about that?? :yell:

Uly, lets agree on stalemate-odds and let's go...

And no, it has hardly an impact, but still a funny gimmick...

And good news is: then it's tested!
