Just played in the TCEC 16 superfinal. Absolutely brilliant tactical game by Stockfish, concluded by the phenomenal shots 25. Ra6!! and 28. Rh6!!. Computer chess at its finest!

I think the genius part happened much earlier.  A "pretty weak" program I know finds the first move instantly with an eval of +5 and climbing.  The second move is +13 instantly and mate in 19 within a few seconds.  I think the good stuff happened prior to that point...

That's why I wrote:

I wonder if strong GM's can find these tactical shots and/or the preceding play leading up to the position before 25. Ra6.

Good question.  Since white is already winning, I would not be surprised to see a human GM choose conservative moves that don't enter wild tactical skirmishes where they could make a mistake...  Probably the most recognizable computer trait is that they go for the best move, period.  Not the safest.  Or the easiest line of play.  Just the absolute best, even if it walks an incredibly fine tactical path.
