Up Topic The Rybka Lounge / Computer Chess / CCRL 40/40, 40/4 and FRC lists updated (11th May 2019)
- - By Graham Banks (*****) Date 2019-05-11 23:17 Upvotes 1
The latest CCRL Rating Lists and Statistics are available for viewing from the following links:
http://ccrl.chessdom.com/ccrl/4040 (40/40)
http://ccrl.chessdom.com/ccrl/404 (40/4)
http://ccrl.chessdom.com/ccrl/404FRC (FRC 40/4)

Please note that the three lists are often updated separately to each other. The FRC list is only updated when a new engine or engine version is being/has been tested.
Also, please note that the 40/40 and 40/4 lists are constructed from totally different databases and not comparable to each other.

Thanks to all of our currently active testers (Graham, Ray, Tirsa, Gabor, Charles and Sergio). Thanks also to Chessdom.com for hosting our website.

Komodo 13.01 MCTS 64-bit 64-bit

40/4 FRC Komodo 13.01 MCTS 64-bit is -91 Elo to Komodo 12.1.1 64-bit

40/4 Komodo 12.3 MCTS 64-bit 4CPU is -93 Elo to Komodo 11.2 64-bit 4CPU

40/40 Komodo 12.3 MCTS 64-bit 4CPU is -108 Elo to Komodo 11.3.1 64-bit 4CPU

So does MCTS just suck? Are there newer non-MCTS versions?
Parent - By Graham Banks (*****) Date 2019-05-12 07:12
Komodo 13.01 has a non-MCTS version.
Parent - By MrKris (**) Date 2019-05-16 04:07
The advantage of MCTS is multi-PV, Larry Kaufman at TalkChess.com

But Stockfish is doing okay with multi-PV.

Stockfish PV=4 51.5/100
Komodo 11.3.1
(regular) 48.5/100 default PV=1
TCEC 14 SuFin openings
G/12'+2" 6-cpu, AMD PhII X6, Sy.6

- The multi-PV seemed to affect Stockfish's time management: it was often out of its base and playing on its increment at move 30!?
It was fasinating to see it do so well with 2 seconds a move vs. 4 or more minutes base time left for Komodo.
(Replay the games in Arena and the clocks will be as in the game, until a move is analysed, then reload the game to get the clocks back.)

- Stockfish won even though its PV=4 reduced its depth to a ply or 2 less than Komodo's.

B07 Pirc: after 9.e6 fxe6, then 10.Qd3 +0.95/26 81".
