Here is a screen shot of 60 physical cores analyzing the Orangutan for me.
413 positions to go out of 2600 at one hour per position.

Yes, I know.  It's an illness

Wowserz, what hardware is that?

It is an Hp Proliant DL585 G7 Server with Four AMD 6276 2.30GHZ (16 cores each/NUMA enabled) and 128 GB RAM.  It has a few terabytes of SSD and plenty of SAS raid disks.
I have all the tablebase files, and any engine that runs on Ubuntu (as well as other engines that come with source and will build)
I have lots of other machines (one has 128 cores in it, but it is really 4 separate machines with 32 cores each in one box, it's not even NUMA)
So the 64 core is my favorite, his name is "Ezekiel".
I plan to buy a 7nm Epyc server as soon as the stuff is released (May I think)

I do most of my analysis with a customized version of Stockfish, but I use many other engines as well.

What sort of kn/s do you get on SF with that? Or whatever version Sedat chess tests with, or do you already have an entry on Sedat? I see some Opterons but not 6276. I know the hardware is a bit dated but still curious.

Then you might be the new Lukas, or whoever has those Xeon 8180s that appeared on Sedat.

I think it would be cool if someone tested the new Platinum 9282 on eight sockets. On the Intel slide it said "8+ sockets", so I wonder if such a thing as >8 could really exist for those. Of course there could be scaling issues, but chess engines seem to scale pretty well.

That's still pretty good imo.

Woah I didn't know about that cluster project, impressive numbers.
