I have a simple question about custom tasks. I'm quickly becoming a fan of 'handling' the software. In other words, I like giving it specific and finite tasks to accomplish.

Having said that... I click Custom Task - Click use a prolongation strategy - set the parameters and click ok. IDeA begins to do it's thing with tasks populating in the stage status panel.

My question: Can I then move to a different position in the notation window and give IDeA another custom task (perhaps its even the same custom task.. just on a different position in the notation window) to work on?

Will it work on all the tasks generated like that or does the notation window have to stay static during the process? I'd think it works the way I'm thinking it does. Just want to make sure.

Thanks,
CPW

Yes, you can run multiple custom tasks in the same project concurrently. You can also run multiple projects concurrently - best to do this in the Database window. It is generally a good idea because you get less cpu idle time. The only constraint is that all the tasks have to share the same IDeA engine setup.

Thanks, Dickie. Appreciate it as always.
