Hello all,

I have been working for years on the same cgt book but it seems after time it's now corrupted and when I want to enter some lines it simply refuses to do so.

Is there a way to create a new cgt book and copy the older one without loosing the data?

Did you ever get an answer to your question?

That was my experience too so my solution was to update the book by creating a new one reading in the lines, I then used a seperate move marked book as an ovelay. The prority analysis is another option but requires another database where all of the moves have move marks included. You may be lucky and find the corrupted book will overlay onto an empty new book or a new build book giving you a new working book but wouldn't hold my breath!

According to Chessbase the size is limited to 16TB. I doubt if anyone has reachd that level!
