[ I just read this case recently (spending some hours), being out of chess/computer chess for a while. ]

"Rebel" asked this but I'd take it further and directly ask people to give a number for it.

How much is "too much" ? On a scale 1-10 or such. And how much on that scale was done by "Vas"

Everyone please give his current,subjective,informal number/estimate ...

[I've been asking such questions before without much success, i.e. influenza experts

giving subjective probability estimates for a H5N1-pandemic. But here we have

programmers, mathematicians and I have more hope that you'll see the necessity

and importance of answering this and giving numbers]

And what are the guidelines for future projects ?

E.g. would I be allowed to just convert x86 optimized code to ARM processors and optimize

on ARM ? That's pretty much stealing the algorithm ideas, but in routines

where optimizing is the real issue ... who knows.

I could also imagine that someone comes up with an implementation that obfuscates

the code enough to make it impracticable (= too difficult) to evaluate

idea-theft/code-theft/implementation-theft.
