When do we know that a forum has to be moved in a hospice setting?

This is the end, beautiful friend
This is the end, my only friend, the end
Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
I'll never look into your eyes, again

Can you picture what will be, so limitless and free
Desperately in need, of some, stranger's hand
In a, desperate land

Lost in a Roman wilderness of pain
And all the children are insane, all the children are insane
Waiting for the summer rain, yeah
There's danger on the edge of town
Ride the King's highway, baby
Weird scenes inside the gold mine
Ride the highway west, baby
Ride the snake, ride the snake
To the lake, the ancient lake, baby
The snake is long, seven miles

Ride the snake, he's old, and his skin is cold
The west is the best, the west is the best
Get here, and we'll do the rest
The blue bus is callin' us, the blue bus is callin' us
Driver, where you taken us

[edited with poetic liberties]

The killer [the inquisitors] awoke before dawn, [they] he put [their] his boots on
[They] He took a face from the ancient gallery
And [they] he walked on down the hall

[They] He went into the room where his sister lived, and, then [they] he
Paid a visit to his brother(s), and then [they] he
[And the ICGA Conspirators] walked on down the hall, and
And they came to a door, and they looked inside
Father, yes son, I want to kill you
Mother, I want to...

C'mon baby, take a chance with us
C'mon baby, take a chance with us
C'mon baby, take a chance with us

And meet me at the back of the blue bus
Doin' a blue rock, on a blue bus
Doin' a blue rock, c'mon, yeah
Kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill
This is the end, beautiful friend

This is the end, my only friend, the end
It hurts to set you free
But you'll never follow me
The end of laughter and soft lies
The end of nights we tried to die
This is the end

Are we left with only the nightmare -the illusion of what we thought was still possible -of regaining sound footing after lost  hope ?  Is the dream gone?

Here's an appropriate song (just for the sake of brute energy):

No interesting story here. It's just Ramones. (CJ was singing as Joey was quite ill and unable to sing any more)

What are you talking about Just the Ramones!

The original members of the band met in and around the middle-class neighborhood of Forest Hills in the New York City borough of Queens.

P.S.

They " Spearheading punk: 1976–1977"

That was intentional. Gabba Gabba Hey!

When people (in horror after hearing their 1st album) asked the producer what the hell was he thinking allowing THAT to record an album, he said he would've sacked them, but they were finished too fast, before he could react.

There is an interesting story behind this song. In 2005 Helloween went out on a limb, and recorded Keeper of the Seven Keys: The Legacy. They felt strong enough (even without Kiske and Hansen) to try to make a meaningful contribution to the everlasting, one-and-only, masterpiece, and unforgettable "Keeper of the Seven Keys I (and II)". In my view, this is the only song from the album that reached the goal; and a respectable legacy for Keeper original it is.

Wonder how Vas is doing. Did he quit chess entirely?
Parent - By Dr.X (Gold) Date 2015-06-29 01:09
I would like to believe he is doing okay. Whether he has quit chess or not , God only knows!

At times I think this would have taken a different route had Vas at the very least admitted openly  having made some blunders in judgment at the outset of his computer chess programming career.

Ipso facto,  by openly admitting that he experimented with the crafty model.

Talking about those early programming days might have helped his case instead of being so covert and silent.

The viciousness  ultimately would have followed had he made such disclosures anyhow. No doubt about it.

But at least he would have shown that he could tolerate the idiots and shed some light on the whole affair for those who genuinely cared to know and understand what really happened.

Instead we only  got the insufferable viciousness of the idiots.

I think Vas would have gotten some help closing the door to the suggestive  formulation of a trend  existing  between the Crafty incident  and that of the Fruit  code copying issue had he been more open to discussion.

Instead, look what we did end up with , David Levy, what clown,  euphemistically crowning the whole Crafty/ Fruit code issue as a case of "plagiarism".    To use and pass off as one's own (the ideas or writings of another).

This concept of originality is so over worked. Taking language for example- back in the late sixties everyone used the term "hanging out". " I'm going to hang out for a while!" Hip term-only if one reads John Keats' letters does "he" point out the knew term that everyone was then using "hanging out" back in 1823!

Hip is another term- "Oh! He's okay -he's hip!" Samuel Taylor Coleridge puts that one into perspective by association with smoking opium. Lying on one's hip!  We make things original by taking what was old and adding something else to it - even if it is taking a word and creating a stylistic expression different from the original intention-you don't have to be smoking opium anymore to be "hip". [edit] Thank God!

He is doing ok. Family man, earning money. He's a big success and always will be, whatever he does. It's a mistake to assume comp chess is the entire world of an entrepreneur. Compare and contrast the loser Levy, broken family, aged 70.

with poker software?

I think what nobody gets is the new geek class that is taking over the world. Yes, it's about creating software, or employing others to create software, but it is also about being an entrepreneur, spotting opportunities, thinking "I can do that". Vas is an entrepreneurial geek, who proved himself, both software-wise and money-making-wise, with the business "Rybka". Practically all the other programmers have no entrepreneurial skills, give their rights away to the many frauds around, can't make marketable products, can't market products and are in danger of turning into uncreative Hyatts and general losers. I fail to see why everybody is harping on about games software, Vas is perfectly capable of turning his skills into areas we never thought of yet. Which is the secret of it all. He is doing fine. Lesson learnt. Don't get intimate with the competitors or the academic losers. They'll turn everything you say into ammunition to use against you. Keep silent and get on with the work. As he does now.

WHAT?

Not in that line of business you don't!

My guess is he's programming for a large company and not for himself. [edit] (nothing wrong with that -perfectly )

I sincerely doubt he is starting his own business in gambling software unless he intends to have it out with some very nasty people.

One just doesn't entrepreneurial one's way into that domain without some real collateral of contacts that I'm sure no geek will be casually pulling out of   his rollidex.

Some of these gambling software companies are buying off firms -

One side labels him liar, cheat and wants to  crucify him, whilst the other side desires to be the first to  canonize Vas the first living saint, gambling software entrepreneurial spirit -before he even  opens Vas towers and combs his hair towards his forehead. :yell: -go figure it.

His motto-  Where there is an addiction- there is always a software to exploit it!
