This news just came out.  My first thoughts center around something like, Seriously?!  Does the chess world know no shame!?  Why do we so often have our championship matches held in areas torn by deep corruption, murder, and scandals?  Does the world care about chess so little that we must get funding from such shady vermin?

The ultimate shame would be a chess championship to take place in a country where stupidity, money and violence are the religion.

"deep corruption, murder, and scandals" you said. Stupid people with a low IQ like you, new fascists, failing democracy, illegaly spying the whole world, yes indeed this is a good definition of United Stupidiy Association. The actual vermin lays in Washinton.

I am very happy chess championship will happen in a country where chess has been honoured for centuries.

And if you are not happy, guess what I'll answer you, if begins with F. Got it ?

Wow, lots of action in one post!  Care to try to support any of your statements?  In any case, that's all irrelevant--I never said that WCC should be held in the U.S., so all of your insults about the U.S. are unneeded, even if they were truthful (most of them aren't).

P.S.  When you do, please try to get a spell checker and a fact checker next time...

You insulted his home country, so he insulted yours. Not the most civilzed thing to do, but not very surprising, either.
By the way, if Kasparov is elected in a few days, the match will definitely not take place in Russia.

There is a difference: when the corrupt leader of a corrupt country pulls the levers to cause a process to take place in a not-so-transparent way, this opens the pathways to what I think are well-placed derision.  His insults, on the other hand, are based, at best, loosely on facts, and mostly in imagination.  One should keep in mind that my post was also directed at the process and the officials involved, not at the common people.

So Magnus signed for the match.  In the news, it seems that the money is being supplied by Aleksander Tkachev, one of the leaders of the terrorists in eastern Ukraine!
