Question to make upgrade to Q6600 CPU:
I want to give me a quad core for Christmas. But according to you, do I have to also change the mainboard ?
I have a mainboard that has a FSB 1066 Mhz, but that support max. DDR400. With some so goslow RAM, will I see some benefit of the use of the Quad core? (main board Asus P5PE-VM, socket LGA775).
The question in conclusion is: if me I buy a Quad Core, but don't I change the main board, have I spent money uselessly ? Which is your estimation ?

Your motherboard model is old and willnot support Q6600.
For information to choose new motherboard go to www.asus.com and select socket 775 if u are interested in buying Asus again.
Or u can look in MSI or Gigabyte also.
