This position was reached in a long game between glaurung on a dual and rybka on a quad core. Glauring ended up winning.  Rybka plays Qxe4 here. I've tested this position with hiarcs, naum, shredder, and glaurung and Rybka is the only engine that considers Qxe4 here. Qxe4 is a game ending type blunder here. I posted the full pgn below.

Thanks for the position, it's a good one. Black is a pawn up, has completely healthy pawns, and is clearly worse and probably lost.

2.3.2a can see that Qxe4 is a bad move, and when it reaches to Depth 23, from there to ahead, it maintains an equal score at all. It thinks it is a clear draw position.

Sorry: what is Rybka 2.3.2g7?
Parent - - By turbojuice1122 (Gold) Date 2007-12-16 21:06
It's a Rybka version that is much stronger than your Rybka version, even if it was on identical hardware :-)

(Much stronger than mine, too, since I assume we use the same version)
Parent - - By Vempele (Silver) Date 2007-12-16 21:13
It has a better understanding of fianchettoed bishops (especially in the Sicilian Dragon), hence the name. :)
Parent - - By AsosLight (***) Date 2007-12-17 10:15
How can i get it? How many elo points is approximately stronger than the 2.3.2a version? Does it has also better mp scaling. Thanks.
Parent - - By Vempele (Silver) Date 2007-12-17 10:19
You can't. It's a pre-release version and therefore only available to testers. Rybka 3 will be released next spring.

>Does it has also better mp scaling.

Yes.

Can you give us more information about Rybka testers? How many you are, what is your task, how many versions since the last offcial version and so on :-). I´m interested in some chat about this issue :-).
Parent - - By Vasik Rajlich (Silver) Date 2007-12-20 13:30
It's quite simple - Rybka testers are superior beings :)

Superior beings like in the movie Men in Black? Are they similar to Edgar/The Bug?
