I will be using the latest stable development version of SF this time

Sure, you can keep updating to the very latest Stockfish as the game progressed, while I'll keep relying on good old reliable 211G

Show me

Would be a great leap, basically, making most of my interactions useless because I'd have found moves faster with just a better engine. Have used the last Stockfish from March and it's very impressive, but seems to have the same holes of previous Stockfishes in evaluation, so I'm not worried yet

Oh I was trapped! I thought it was a mutual understanding
Parent - By Uly (Gold) [mx] Date 2014-08-31 09:20
Well, I thought you were going to reject the offer and attempt to win, though I had no idea how!

Thanks for the game, I hold that analysis methods are more important than engine upgrades, though, if I saw anything in this game was that Stockfish isn't very good standalone, it does need help from other engines to shine.

But Stockfish is still the best engine for analysis today, and, this is the last game where I use the 211G version, it lived its time, and it's now obsolete.

Will include here my thanks to Jeremy Bernstein, et al, for keeping making the Gran2 series that keep blowing my socks off with each new version, excellent job, wherever they are.
