I am going to give a couple of "if" moves, because they look kind of forced,

 Sadly Thursday i was to lazy to follow this Nh5-line to the end, thought it is playable but it is not.

The recent Stockfish is pretty good, after entering 15...Nh5 it found out quickly (within 60sec) that position is nearly dead (i have chosen Rybka by that time, it was optimistic ):

It's sadly just 23 ply (and Stockfish prints a few ply's more than other engines), download it from the link below and you will see you can get -depending on your hardware- 10x to 40x to the nodes calculated (overall: 25.156.044, second-average: 426.386).

I figured I was reading it wrong, sorry about that. Does the GUI make any difference?

> I figured I was reading it wrong, sorry about that.

No prob Scott, hardware isn't even an excuse as the Stockfish-run proves... at that time i entered ...Nh5 in the GUI, then entered ...b4 which i followed pretty long and liked my chances, but forgot to extend Nh5 where the single run above showed that black is very fine - therefore i came to the conclusion that Qg5 is playable while at the same time i had problems breaking critical lines in Qd2 (and maybe still have), which is why that decision was made.

> Does the GUI make any difference?

Just to a slight degree, maybe 5%... and of course every other application running parallel can make a difference too.
The print of ...Nh5 is directly from the console (what engines print out in while running), the GUI is taking that information and presenting it in certain ways... often the nodes are given in thousands (kilonodes) or even millions (meganodes) instead of every single one.

Accepted, thanks for the game Scott, 25...Qf7 and actively playing on the f-line was a good decision in my opinion.

Thanks for the game also Anton, Interesting experiment. I've always found the Pirc to be solid as any other defense. I wonder why it is not more popular,

Now just one game to concentrate on.

Well, you have to take into account that maybe every tenth move with this approach/challenge/experiment is at least an inaccuracy (and to my current knowledge black would be simply dead lost after 13. Qd2), therefore the game itself [with my inaccuracies] has limiting value judging the defense itself, but you're right, in the main-lines Pirc is most likely as sound as Gruenfeld or KID.

I'll leave that to you and Uly to figure out,
