Well I'll play to have fun, be serious, and experiment just a little bit. Sooo my first move is...

1.b3

While your doing that I will just rewrite my 1. b3 opening repertoire.

Well 3.c4 is possible and would breach into some kind of english, but lets continue down the path of the Larsen here and play 3.e3

3.e3

P.S- Sorry for the long move in the opening but work was murder this weekend.

1. b3 e5 2. Bb2 Nc6 3. e3 Nf6

Hard choice between Nc6 and a6(not play very much in books and slightly premature) here.

Best move in my opinion for you.

My Corr book says I should play 4.Nf3 here, but I'll try the engine book move of..

4.Bb5

Still thinking on the next move after this.

1. b3 e5 2. Bb2 Nc6 3. e3 Nf6 4. Bb5 e4 5. Ne2 a6 6.Bxc6

Interesting that you choice ..4.e4 I was expecting ..4.Bd6 I guess maybe you don't like this type of development.

Just form my human point of view, I wonder if e4 is the kind of move I would want to see here to try and undermined your center. That is an idea behind this hyper-modern type of opening. And then again if I don't prove this then your pawn will bottle me up. Nice double edge choice, maybe form the opening book I would say it says 60-65% in whites favor.

I'll have my next move Monday sometime.

4... Bd6 5. Na3 was just really starting to open things up for you, plus black e4
was going to happen sometime anyway.

Need a little more time between work and a system problem I need a couple more days. I think this is a very important position to analyze form.

Yes this was the move I thought you would play a very annoying one form the white side of things.

Still believe 7.d4 is the best move. Had 7.0-0 in the book, but that just looks like death waiting to happen.
Parent - - By Weirwindle (***) [us] Date 2013-03-08 06:56
I agree that 0-0 was starting to look pretty bad here for white.
And I especially would not trust books here.
They have moves switching off advantage every other turn here.

I think any other move besides Qd5 here would have had you make c4 before my queen gets out.

P.S.-how do you post positions? I would if I knew how.

You just paste the FEN and it is generated.
