When tweaking the engine on the engine parameters and wanting to save the changes this message pops up... Why and how do I solve it?

It's possible to save the changes per ce, but then when I want to go out from set up uci engine checkbo by pressing "OK" it says houdini must be modified.

just rename the engine by just adding anything after the original name.

Well that didn't work, same thing when the process is over,.. I added the number 1 to it's name on cbparam.

Fritz means the engine name in the "Set up UCI Engine" dialogue box. (That's "Create UCI Engine" the menu.) So, if you are in the Parameter dialogue, you do not press "Save" but just "OK", which brings you back to the previous dialogue. There you should add something to the default name. I'll add a screendump.

(Btw. I don't find the requirement to change the name anymore, if I change the engine options on the first installation, in the most recent GUI version.)

I know but I changed the name it in the "save" option inside the parameters.

For an example, Inside Parameters, I selected "Tactical".
Then save and name.
Now when you want to run your program with your saved parameters, select "load".
Under "load" you will see a list of each that you named and saved.
Select one of your saved.
I just ran through this and it worked fine for me.

Is there another option than "create uci-engine" to activate the tactical mode in the fritz gui, since this doesn't work here?

On the arena gui, the tactical mode activator works.

activate it,and save the confuguration;the next time you want the tactical mode, just load it and run it

It is not necessary to use "create uci-engine" to use Houdini in tactical mode.
I just tried mine again, I go to parameters and select "Tactical Mode".
Tactical mode is not selected with default settings.

also I tried this again and it worked fine.
Change parameters, save, name file.
Then "load" when you want to use the changed parameters engine.
I have a feeling you already know all of this and we are just failing to communicate.
