Hello Uly.

After our game and conversation on FICGS it's time to play and finish this game.

It's not me, just my ghost...

Seems there was no freestyle-tournament@Infinity-chess in recent years, did you perform in an engine-tournament? At least Arno's articles(@chessbase) are always a good read...

There was one a year ago, but it left a bad taste.

>did you perform in an engine-tournament?

Well, due to health issues, I played that one as engine (black win vs Eros included).

>At least Arno's articles(@chessbase) are always a good read...

Which ones are those?

> There was one a year ago

 Completely missed that, (infinitychess.com currently down on me) are there any reports/results?

> I played that one as engine (black win vs Eros included).

Impressive. Can you pm me that game? Always told you that your manual interaction just disturbes your results!

The non-German language ones i can remember:

Apart from the best one (already linked to), you can find the official ones here. Scroll to the bottom for the Eros game.

Hi Ozy,

I know you had your issues but i quite enjoyed the Infinity freestyle tours.

Hi there Mark.

My problem is that, once you start targeting the prizes, you at least want the competition to be fair. Any competition is hard enough without having to worry about that, on top of everything else, and luck makes it unfair. BTW, in most of the articles Anton linked, Arno talks about the draw problem in Correspondence Chess, but when it comes to IC, he didn't even have anything to say on the matter, when I wrote the report; that's the worst part, the double standard.

Hello Antares.

Uly did say he would make a move and participate in the discussions here on AZ.

I just noticed, this thread is about a game from Uly  Anton, whatever it is this guy did to you? You came out of the woodworks just to pester him!

Hey, you started! With Uly, i definitely wanted a bill to be paid in our last game, and all that bantering was real fun as i had the last laugh , but besides that i have real respect for Uly: He has his own opinions and analysis-methods, plays interesting opening-lines&chess... yes, i want him to be back here!, he is a part of the Rybka-family!

Ok, that was probably just me, always thinking the worst

My dear Don Juan, now that you wrote that i somehow realized there would be something more sweet than whipping him end of 2014: Whipping him in 2018!

Btw., have you ever played a corr-game, can your life be complete without one?
Parent - - By Ozymandias (****) [es] Date 2018-02-08 06:41
The moves I made for you were enough, there's no significant difference between corr and Freestyle, and the former lacks the adrenaline of the clock. You can currently find my name in some games in progress, but it's not exactly me who's playing, I'm only trying to find out a little more accurately, just how much of a difference there actually is.

> there's no significant difference between corr and Freestyle

But isn't it that recent ICUC showed centaur vs. engine-only being a nearly neglectable advantage, whereas i (as a corr-player) could easily(!) improve especially Eros's side of your game in his middle game, or alone letting an engine infinitely?! Besides that, i think the adrenaline your speaking about is especially the $20k-pool, which obviously is lacking in the corr-world, sadly - i agree.
