Humans can solve this very easy. Man I love being human

I am a genius!!!   I beat Houdini!!!!

Actually, I missed the fastest mate a few times, but the win was pretty easy.  I set up the position with Houdini 2.0c as the engine, then hid the analysis output, set up infinite analysis, moved and gave Houdini a few seconds to think, then forced a move, then moved again.  If Zappa can't find a forced mate from the starting position, does that mean that I am stronger than Zappa? :wink::wink:

I am not a machine.

Exactly, you fail the test because you come up as machine even though you aren't.

You are this guy:

Good timing!

Also, lol, Google's Turing Machine increases its difficulty as you go on, the first time I solved the 6 letters trivially, on my second try I got stuck...

You are correct,

After 1 hour and ten minutes of analysis:

This is a hilarious position!

Now, that I'm playing around, I remember having looked at it with engines before and not having any find a solution.
Parent - - By InspectorGadget (*****) Date 2012-06-23 08:04
I setup that position from my head. I've seen something like that before. Maybe when the White King is in that position some engines can find the solution. I think Fritz 8 and Chessmaster can solve it. I tried it with Chessmaster 11 and it seemed to have a clue what was going on and Fritz 8 also had a clue. I think if the White King is farther, they will also have difficulties solving it. I will check both of them when the King far. Something like this

Zappa beta! I've had it for years! I think it came out right after Zappa mexico. [edit] okay judging from former posts on the subject, some believed that it was an experimental version developed prior to the release of  Zappa Mexico.
