yes,i stated that and is true...

im addicted to caffeine, but my behaviour, isnt a good choice

BUT...if you take a small amount of 'servings' (cups) every day,is good...

and also is good because the ingest of about 4 cups every day reduce the risk to develop prostatic cancer and also the morbility of the prostatic cancer

i will need at least 6 months to fully master aquarium

You will need to be much smarter than Einstein to fully master aquarium in six months!
Parent - By Barnard (Bronze) Date 2012-06-15 05:19
and since im not, that is the reason why i gave up aquarium

I mostly use IA as I am bad in IDEA. I run 6 different single core engines in IA and find the proper plan.
Parent - - By Barnard (Bronze) Date 2012-06-15 02:02
well,i only run i use IA,and usually i dont run 2 different engines in 2 GUI's,i usually run 1 Gui with 1 engine, and give to it the full power of the laptop (2 cores)

but that depends about how every player feel comfortable with the analisis method
Parent - - By Master Om (Bronze) Date 2012-06-15 12:00
I run 6 engines in 1 gui. A single never understands all positions well.
Parent - - By Barnard (Bronze) Date 2012-06-15 17:24
Well,i dont agree with that Om...for example, look my game against Uly,the match Houdini vs other engines;im using only Houdini, and we are playing with unlimited time, and you can take a look to the position, and im using just 1 engine
Parent - - By Master Om (Bronze) Date 2012-06-16 00:35

>Well,i dont agree with that Om.

In that case you haven't analysed more critical positions than myself.

Then I ask you to analyses this position.

Run houdini unattended and tell me about what it says. In IA houdini suggestion was Rc7. Well Just run it Unattended.
Parent - - By Barnard (Bronze) Date 2012-06-16 00:37
ok,im gonna run Houdini2.0z analisisng that position...how much time?and also, what is the good move that your analisis gave?
Parent - - By Master Om (Bronze) Date 2012-06-16 00:40
I wont tell until u tell me. U analyse first. Time is what u need to solve it.
Parent - - By Barnard (Bronze) Date 2012-06-16 00:56
ok,im gonna test the position now, when i will have results,i will tell you Om
Parent - - By Master Om (Bronze) Date 2012-06-16 01:26
ok.
Parent - - By Barnard (Bronze) Date 2012-06-16 01:27
found a main move, but since it isnt giving a decissive advantage, maybe it is wrong
Parent - - By Master Om (Bronze) Date 2012-06-16 03:42
:yell::twisted::wink:
Parent - - By Barnard (Bronze) Date 2012-06-16 03:47
well, you told me that i must left the engine alone and dont interactuact with it,and that i what i did

the move is f4,but since it is onlt giving +0,4,i dont trust too much it can be right
Parent - - By Master Om (Bronze) Date 2012-06-16 08:28
It is not even Close to right.
Parent - - By Barnard (Bronze) Date 2012-06-16 19:11
i never interactuated with the engine,so i only can give you the engine's output

what is the correct move Om?
Parent - By Master Om (Bronze) Date 2012-06-17 02:13

Damn!! thats the correct line. The first 3 are correct.
One advantage of having a big machine!!

Om,if you post positions that need a high depth to find the solution,i wont be able to find it without interactuact with the engine, dont you think?
Parent - - By Master Om (Bronze) Date 2012-06-17 03:11 Edited 2012-06-17 03:18
No you can find. problem is you are stuck with Houdini.
That was my point of discussion.
If you only use houdini you may be missing many things. These free engines are great.

but Om,you are wrong

im using only Houdini in my match against Uly,''Houdini vs other engines''...at my WBCCC 2,apart from my game against Uly,im using other engines to play
Parent - - By Master Om (Bronze) Date 2012-06-17 23:30
I am never wrong. All engines have + and - es. We just need to know that.
Its different that Houdini has less ones but has. Thats the key.
Parent - - By Barnard (Bronze) Date 2012-06-17 23:34
yes,but what has to do that with my match against Uly?
Parent - - By Master Om (Bronze) Date 2012-06-17 23:38
nOthing. Just You are Handicapped. The Position I have to you was from  my game against Schachmatt. I was using Houdini and after 3 days IDea analysis,
Houdini came up to move Rc7?? and I played it. He player g6 and I resigned. Has I used Stockfish........
Parent - By Barnard (Bronze) Date 2012-06-17 23:46
Om,if you take specific positions, maybe 'x' plays that position weak, and the other engine 'z' understand it and play correctly...i know that

what i want to show is Houdini,if you use in all the games, you will have better results, and in general, the engine will understand better the positions than all the other engines

and also i want to demonstrate him that using just 1 engine, you can play a good chess and win to oher player using multiple engines
Parent - - By Barnard (Bronze) Date 2012-06-17 02:14
Om,how you want that i reach depth 28 with my machine???
Parent - - By Master Om (Bronze) Date 2012-06-17 02:23
That was my point. Answer is dont use houdini then.

You just need 20 secs if u know what to use.

your point was that i wont reach that depth?or in that position Houdini need a high depth to find the solution?

because that doesnt demonstrate anything Om
Parent - - By Master Om (Bronze) Date 2012-06-17 03:09

>in that position Houdini need a high depth to find the solution?

Houdini needs time. A engine with superior search can save u time in a old computer. That is what I used to do when I had a P4.
That Stock is not on default settings. Even Houdini fails to see Bxh6 for some time but Stock and Spark and Zappa Mexico II find it instantly!!!!.
Parent - - By Uly (Gold) Date 2012-06-17 08:36
Lol guys, you need to start a "Houdini vs other engines" challenge, in where OM can't use Houdini but Barnard is stuck with Houdini, and let's see who comes up ahead!

Zappa need a lot of time to do the work fine Om
