I regularly run infinite analyses in database mode with several engines. Linked to an IDeA project. One of these engines (Houdini) is on a remote PC. The hash files of all these engines are located in the directory \ATrees\EngineInfiniteAnalyses. After a minimum time/depth the positions are automatically sent to the Aquarium queue of the linked project for further IDeA analyses at a later stage (or sometimes concurrently when I might have a unused core available).
For the IDeA analyses I always use same engine (Houdini 2.0c). After some time the system starts to show evaluations from each engine in the tree window which I have set up with a column for each engine. So far all is OK and it works fine for me.
Now I have two questions:
a) The contents of the IA column in the tree window.
It is linked (by default) to infinite_analyses.hsh in the \ATrees directory.
It cannot be the evaluation of one of the individual engines because these are shown in the other columns and are most of the times quite different. It can also not be an IDeA evaluation, because that is in the IDeA column..
So, which engine produces the evaluation in the IA column?
b) Hash of the remote engine.
I have set up all my engines (including the remotes) to use its own hash file in the \ATrees\EngineInfiniteAnalyses directory (as described above). However this directory is obviously on my local PC whereas the remote engine is over the internet on a remote PC. Note that the hash file of the remote Houdini is linked to same hash file that is used by the IDeA Houdini engine.
When I check the hash files during the running of infinite analyses (when IDeA is inactive) I notice that each hash file is regularly updated with the exception of the hash file of the remote engine.
When I look into the RTSingleServer.ini file on the remote PC I see the instruction persistent_hash_folder=phash\. But when I check in the phash\ directory it appears completely empty.. no hash file..
So... Where is the hash file of the remote engine?
