Hello,
I chose the same master tree for all my IDeA-projects. Now I was able to add one of my projects to the master tree by clicking on: mastertree->export->from project. However, if I click on "export from all projects" instead of "from project" nothing happened (the windows task manager does not show any CPU-activity of Rybka Aquarium, too).
Any ideas why nothing happened?
Thanks in advance.

It only exports from active projects.
What if it gets a cOntradiction between projects, which one does it give priority to?
Say one project (using fritz 13) rates a position as +0.50 from one project but another project using Houdini 2 rates the same position as +0.20 - which evaluation will be used in the master tree?

I am not sure, but from personal observation I think it will use the last processed eval. It stores whatever the eval is in the project over into the master tree until the project/s are processed again.
But if you export from all projects at once...?
I normally do from 10 to 15 active projects. It will only do one project at a time until it finishs the last project. The values in the master project will then show an increase in the position number and the same eval value for the position in both the project and the master. It will also minimax. If you go back and check for each project the master tree positions will show the evals from the corresponding project position.
Thanks!
I did not expect this, because it was recommended to use just one active project for IDeA.

I use 1 project per game, but many active projects.
It was recommended to use just one active project because of a bug (or something like this :), I do not remember any details). But maybe this was just a problem of an old version of Aquarium, I do not know.
Ok, I don't remember that one. I am using 5.1.0 so if you are not up to that you should upgrade. I don't have any problems with multiple projects running in IDEA. I run 20 engines some on another home networked system. The only bug I have with this is if Houdini 2.0c crashes or exits because it can't access Aquarium you will have to use Task Manager to halt Aquarium and then restart it. I always leave 1 thread empty to get around this when I'm running Houdini.
I am using the 5.1.0 version, too... Is there maybe somebody who knows if there is still a bug if you run IDeA with many active projects?
