Hello all, I am creating this thread in order to set the rules for the next games / match, following the conversations from WBCCC thread.

AFAIK, we'll be playing

National + Uly + BigBen + Natmaku
vs
Mark + Barnard + Keoki + ppipper.

All opinions and ideas are welcome!

here i am wishing to all the players joining both teams a good game,and i hope all people that look the match they will enjoy the games

well,here is one idea:what about if we start the match the next day when we (all players joining both teams) finish our 3 and 4 games?

we have to decide time controls, number of games, who starts with white...

well,i bet for 2 days each move ( 48 hours,starting at,lets say,09.00 am to the next day not,the other at 09:00 am ),2 games (one white one black),and i dont mind who starts with white,we can simply give it to luck

about Garvin being the arbiter,i agree if Garvin accepts

I have this crazy idea:

2 day increment time. Max 1 week of accumulated time.

Also, we have to agree on the piece colors with some kind of bet, just like we did last time. Is there an important soccer game or baseball game or something else we could bet for to decide on piece color?

Well, last game I was teasing the other team with time forfeits. Also, with 4 players that can post a move, there's no excuse whatsoever to miss a time limit.

I think we should have one because otherwise the game could go on for years and years. The increment of 48 is actually more time than in previous matches, but it could go up infinitely and that's why I'm proposing the 1 week cap.

I am opened to any decision we take in general, but these are my preferences:
- limited time control. Uly's proposal is ok with me. Although if we are not under automatic control, it may be difficult to control the increment.
- agree betting on something around 50% chances to choose piece color.

I also would like to hear Mark and Keoki opinions, in order to make sure we are all comfortable with the decisions that we will adopt.

Here is a random thought since almost all of you are in the WBCCC maybe there can be a way to use the Xxfc client to kept the time? Maybe something you could ask Dadi about.

Maybe what you can do is make 2 accounts (Could use your team names :smile:) give each person on the team the user name and pass. So they can get on and make the move. The time control should be pretty relax form the sound of it. You should be fine to do that idea. Not sure about how it will post on the forum. A guy like Uly could probably post the moves in if needed.

I'm ok with Uly's proposal, and the bet sounds fine for first color. After finish of games 3&4 in WBCCC is also fine with me.
And the xfcc client is fine also.

even id Dadi cant open (or wouldnt open account for us),we can use a simply system management control:

we will use full days,half days,6 hours or 0 hours to add to the increment,rounded down to that system from the hour is posted the move

so is easy add 1 full day to the time acumulated,or half day,or 6 hours,even if we posted the move at 9:57 pm

so if when we post the move we have a remaining time of 1 day and 1 hour and 23 minutes,will be added 1 day to our time,and if we have when we post the move 3 hours and 23 minutes,no time will be added to our time

I proposed 2 days increment with one week max of accumulated time. That is, each move 48 hours are added to your clock + what you have, but a move can't take more than a week.

But my contact with him is not friendly, we usually just chat about how he loves and how I hate Aquarium, I wouldn't know how to approach him.

Probably the best course of action is, if Garvin agrees to be ref of the match, that Garvin contacts Dadi about it.

well,who will contact Garvin to ask him if he want to be our arbiter,and ask Dadi if he want add our games to the client and open 2 private subforums,and each subforum able to acces for each member of each team?(IMPORTANT:no moderation/moderators acces/allowed in that 'private subforum',since if moderators can acces to the private subforum,you (or other mods) will be able to acces and look the other team analisis,and you are a moderator)

p.s. after the match ends,the private subforum will be made public,so everyone will be able to read all the contents

as for the piece colors choice, although it would be funnier betting for next Real Madrid's important match, here is a simpler idea:

Esas son muy aburridas, ponemos un numerote con su valor.

Sí, a mi me gustaban más los viejos pesos, tenían más personalidad (y valor, pues 1 peso de ahora era 1000 de antes).

Pero lo peor son los nuevos billetes, que parecen más bien sacados del Monopoly.

Pero lo que pasó fue que el banco obligo a todos a cambiar sus 1000 pesos por un peso. Que es cómo si de los 1000 pesos que tienes te quitaran 999.

El problema es que el valor de compra y el valor con respecto a otras monedas también ha disminuido.

Antes:

1 Dólar = 6000 pesos.

Ahora:

1 Dólar = 13 pesos.

Si se ignora que se le quitaron 3 ceros a la moneda, entonces los pesos ya valen menos de la mitad...

No creo que una imagen le haga justicia a esto, pues la mayor diferencia es cuando tienes el billete en tus manos. Antes se sentía como dinero de verdad, ahora se siente como dinero de juguete:

I was hoping for something more climatic than a random number being rolled :yell:, I'll let my team members chime in on their decision for this, as I don't mind how color are decided.

I see you'll be trying to contact Dadi on using Xfccplay, I like the idea and will be awaiting answer.

so is perfect,one team will choose 'head',the other team 'tail',and Garvin can play the rolls,and tell us who won

about to choose the colour,we can bet,or we can simply go into an online site like ppipper told,and use a random generator to choose what team must choose the colour first,for me is the same,but i preffer the second choice,since is faster

I think, in order to not bother Dadi and Garvin, it is better we agree all the terms. Then, I will contact them.

I say 2 games, and that's it, because I wouldn't like the match decided because a team got white on third game by luck or something.

Also, I don't think permission from the other team to substitute a player is needed (in what instance would a team reject it?)

Otherwise I agree with everything and it'll be nice to have Garvin decide who gets what color first.

1)my suggestion is 2,and in case of draws (1-1) an aditional game will be played (that is to avoid a team playing2 games with white pieces and the other team just one)
2)2 days,2 days increment,1 week max.

5)when the majority of the players of both teams will end the round 2 (3 players)
