A cool feature for Idea would be assigning two different engines, one for each colour. I know that different engines at the same project are not easy to make it work. On the contrary, I think that make each engine play for each colour is trivial: if is white to move use engine a; else use engine B.

Does it make sense if you MinMax the evals of different engines?
No it doesn't. Unless you are analysing the relative score of each move and not the centipwans. I'm suggesting this as an option only. And I believe it will be useful sometimes.
This would be helpful to select the same engine but with different contempts for each side. Example: I put my side sacrifacing everything for an attack, for his side I try to come up with the defense at all costs. Even if this doesn't work for some users, for others (like me) it produce significant analysis (revealing plans) on the positions.
