I just electronically purchased Rybka 4 (no GUI), and unzipped the files, and this is what came out;

Rybka 4 960 w32.exe
Rybka 4 960 x64.exe
Rybka 4 960 w32.exe
Rybka 4 w32.exe
Rybka 4 x64.exe

These are executables...how do I get them into .eng files?

OS is Windows XP 32

Those are UCI engines, you don't have to convert them to .eng files.
Check the GUI for something like 'create new UCI engine'.

Okay, got that, now which one should I use? I know my OS is 32bit...what is the difference between Rybka 4 960 w32.exe and Rybka 4 w32.exe?

Then you have to use the 32-bit engines:
Rybka 4 960 w32.exe for Chess960 (Fischer Random Chess)
Rybka 4 w32.exe for normal chess
