game is interesting, but i think is going into a drawing end...maybe im wrong, time lets say if i was wrong
Parent - - By ppipper (*****) [es] Date 2012-02-14 00:05
probably you are right, altough I am quite happy about what I have achieved till now in the game.

Anyway, IMO drawing games is not less interesting at all, is just one of three results you can get, and playing advanced chess is very likely to happen. Lot of people get dissapointed when they draw a game playing White, this is not my case if chances have been equal during the game. This is not football...
Parent - - By Barnard (Bronze) Date 2012-02-14 00:21
i must agree with you, playing advanced chess is very likely to happen

about people dissapointed when draw a game with white pieces,im one of them;of course,i know that we cant always win,and we will draw more games than we will win, much more, but for my style of play,i always try to play for win(always that i can,of course, and of course not playing suicidal chess like some people),because i dont like 'quiet' positions,i like and enjoy a lot agressive play

and about football...surely you wont trust it,but i dont like football

I like your both plays here! :-)... already the game-series vs. NATIONAL in the correspondence chess-section showed that Barnard is a pretty strong player (well, of course he is, playing a semifinal on another site)... but he somehow was pretty underrated (2150 ELO is far to low) here with the start of the tournament which lead to this early pairing... and you both could have had it -like your direct opponents for the WBCCC 2012 title- easier in this first round! ;-)
Parent - - By Barnard (Bronze) Date 2012-02-14 02:36
thanks for your kindly words...

yes,im playing semifinals on LSS,but i had already finished a lot of my games there,so i can manage my time here

i must agree i could have easier opponents than Jose,he is the favourite to win the tournament, and one of the strongers(if not the strongest)players here
Parent - - By Turbo (***) Date 2012-02-14 02:40
I have a feeling that you also can speak a serious word in the top quarter of the result table! ;-)
Parent - By Barnard (Bronze) Date 2012-02-14 02:42
that will be very very hard for me...i have an obsolete computer, and a lot of times,i cant manage to win because i cant analyze enough deep,or i cant analyze enough variations to find the better choices, and i must trust a lot with my intuition, and that is a handicap for me

but i will do my best

> i could have easier opponents than Jose,he is the favourite to win the tournament, and one of the strongers(if not the strongest)players here

hola Barnard, thank you! Anyway, there is still a long way to run...
Parent - - By Scott (****) Date 2012-02-14 19:09
I also play on LSS, is Salva your name there? In the LSS aniversary 2011, I somhow got 9.0-1.0 to tie for fifth going into round two, out of 400 players, Rated 2256 there. I just would like to know in case we play someday.
Parent - By Barnard (Bronze) Date 2012-02-14 21:29
Hi Scott

yes,it is my name there at LSS

i also played LSS aniversary, but i only got 6,5 points;i was really bussy at my private life, and i never had time for my games,so i had a very poor result

im rated 2167 at LSS,but for my withdrawals at past due problems at my real life,i lost each time near 200 points,so i must gain the points again

*laughs*... well you know i like your style of playing and your creativity over the board and my chess-heart is always with the attacking-players, still one has to admit that Salva -with a pretty outaged hardware combined with his intiution- is able to find pretty good answers which has to be acknowledged also! ;-)

well Betty, you must understand that when a girl tells something to a guy, usually the guy likes it,even if the girls tells ''the milk is black and the sky full of cows''

is a truth that never will change in that world:

''when a girl speaks, the interest of the guys about what she says is directly proportional about her beauty and inversely proportional about the guy's brain''
Parent - - By Turbo (***) Date 2012-02-15 01:37
Naaa..., GM José is happily married and therefore not allowed to be attracted by anybodies attraction by definition, which thankfully allows him to fully concentrate on my words of admiration for his beautiful play he brings on the board! :-)

''when a girl speaks, the interest of the guys about what she says is directly proportional about her beauty and inversely proportional about the guy's brain''

A very sharp theory ya' little BIG MACHO! ;-)
Parent - By Barnard (Bronze) Date 2012-02-15 01:50
i know he is only blushed by your words of admiration by his chess play because he is married,i was just joking because he told he wont be blushed if i have kind words with him

but about my latest theory,is a big truth...sometimes (well,i must admit,at least 99,9 % of the guys) we guys appear stupids, just when we see a beauty girl, seems that we forget our brain at home and think with....yes,with that,i never wrote it to avoid the mod deleting the post

im a feminist guy  at my next life,i want reincarnate on a girl, just to figth bulls, but instead of 'bulls',guys :twisted::twisted: guys are so simply at his form of thinking...

Parent - - By Barnard (Bronze) Date 2012-02-16 00:55
men... :yell:

at my next life,im gonna be a woman, and poor of the all the men that i will meet, because im goona laugh about all of them
Parent - - By Turbo (***) Date 2012-02-16 01:00
I will omit being a man in my next life... directly aspiring being an animal! ;-), maybe Taurus would suit my character... *g*
Parent - By Barnard (Bronze) Date 2012-02-16 01:02
of course, the most stupid animal,is smarter than usually men, dont doubt about that

that is why at my next life,i want to be a woman
Parent - By ppipper (*****) [es] Date 2012-02-16 01:11

carnival is ongoing now in New Orleans, Louisiana
Parent - - By Turbo (***) Date 2012-02-16 01:14
Yes, here in Germany we reached the final week and people are going crazy partying, but in most cases it is just another reason to drink, drink and of course drink!

Here too, but sometimes we also eat.  I'm cooking some venison Sunday at my friends house. Should be ok! I hope...
Parent - - By Turbo (***) Date 2012-02-16 01:28

Never tried it, let me know how it tastes...

Parent - - By Turbo (***) Date 2012-02-16 01:37
Yes of course, how could i have even the slightest doubt?!

Oh btw., to the players, my dear José and Salva: Its up to you to still provide us here an interesting fighting game and make us spectators breathless!!! :-) - because in case we could breath -due lack of tense- keoki and I would start exchanging recipes then.......... ;-), simply because we're very HUNGRY!!!
Parent - By Barnard (Bronze) Date 2012-02-16 01:44
