Well then Paul, this is our first real game, and I won't be experimenting this time so let's have fun!

What's the time control?
No time forfeit.
But I think we're expected to play a move every 48 hours, though Paul is always much faster

I bet it's a sicilian. I've got some analysis in the open sicilians. Let's see.
wrong.
I bet a Sicilian would have ended in a draw
, let's see how this goes.

i have no record of me playing sicilian as black, anything i have i am saving atm.

Well, I think you played the Sicilian wing gambit from the black side, against me and deka, but that also doesn't count as they were thematic games

So black seems to have easily equalized already by move 10 - not really what i would call a "Real Chess Challenge" ;-) - more a soft&warm pillow for NATIONAL12 to sleep on calmly. I didn't look at this position with my computer (which wouldn't be of too much help anyways as you guys easily have bigger hardware-resources), but i can't see any complications which white has set up and can't be solved... and white's mission in (correspondence) chess should always be to create complications...
You're just teasing around.
Edit: Well, what advantage do you think white has in this position?

Oh! I just remembered that this is Kasparov-Kramnik, from their WC match in 2000. After the game, Kramnik said 'black was always okay', while Kasparov claimed 'He was bluffing. He knows exactly that the ending is better for white.' or something like that. I am curious to see who was right. :)
improvements have been found on play in that game for both white and black.
to give an example, nearly all GM games go after 13.Nxe5 d5 with 50% from what i can see, a better move is an immediate 13...Re8 or even b4, after 13...d5 14.Bg5 Kramnik plays dxe4 and after 15.dxe4 everyone recommends including latest books 15...Qxd1 not good imho, have a look yourself.
Edit: -
I don't think it's good manners to affect the game with analysis.
Pardon, was only answering my thinkings (no analysis at all...) to NATIONAL12's lines... but edited it out for your convenience.
I see. Then I guess the debate between the K's won't be settled in your game.
I am sure Kramnik had a good look at the endgame back then, so it's surely not so simple.

13...Re8
wonder if Nelson could give us info on 13...Re8,it looks quite good to me.
47.2% with 61.1% draws.
Much better than 13...d5 which is similarly drawish (58.0%) but offers black on 34.7% success, i.e. black hardly ever wins with that move.
The database is mildly disarrayed right now, undergoing an annual overhaul. My fully-enabled commentary abilities should be back in service in about a week.
