My Vote:
4
Reasoning:
- Most people wanted 12 games and I'm one of them.
- It's unnecessary to have 2 idle months if games can be played on that time.
- With 12 games, we get a clearer winner (it wasn't a problem in 2011 because ppipper dominated, but without domination, more games have more chances to show clarity; and second place didn't play first place in 2011).
- Round Robin would be my dream scenario, and 12 games is closer to that than 10 games; the more games the better.
That eliminated option 1 and 2 because they have 10 players.
- If round times are set from the start, it will cause wasted time between rounds, because if a round is over 2 weeks before start date, there's nothing to do on those 2 weeks but waiting.
- In the first WBCCC, rounds times were announced a few days before the end of a round, and it worked.
- For people wanting to avoid playing across Xmas and having 12 players, announcing the rounds dynamically will almost guarantee that the games will not cross Xmas.
- With round times confirmed before the start of the tournament and 12 players, the games of November-December are going to overlap with the planning/discussion/sign ups of WBCCC III. Announcing the rounds dynamically will add 2 or three weeks of time between the end of WBCCC II and the start of WBCCC III for a better scheduling.
That eliminates option 3, leaving 4 as my only option.

One thing that I can not work out with how the voting is going so far.
In the previous poll on when to decide round start times, the vote was tied 8 all between at the start of the tournament and just before a round finishes. Now almost all of those who have voted are choosing just before a round finishes. What happened to the others?

Were they voting for the first options of the poll? Probably they were people that weren't interested and just like voting in polls.
possibly.
i dont know how many entries we will get.maybe a round robin now guys know how strong tournament is.
I think Jimmy's lack of promotion and presence is a big factor in this. Where are you Jimmy? Do I have to create a main new topic and start asking questions? What is happening with the 2012 events?
A round robin would make all these polls irrelevant, perhaps. I could just release all the games, give everyone 160 days plus 1 hour increment on the clock and off we go.
