I am not so sure it is draw.Matter of fact,I would intuitively say white wins.Strongest moves 1.Qe2 or even perhaps 1.g4 most engines don't take seriusly under consideration here until depth 30 or thereabout.For example,Stockfish eval at depth 32 is +3,6,but it proves nothing.

All we have to go on it seems, is your intuition. If you want to persuade someone else to spend weeks of computer time on this you should at least come up with some promising line I think, even if it has holes in it :roll: Anyway I got a score of 3.6 too but that should be coincidental because eval is not quite the same. This feels like winning with Knight against Pawn somehow and maybe the additional material only increases chances of a draw? I would not want to spend weeks of computer time to prove it is still a draw no matter how deep you search. But I'm just testing if the output is a bit like Stockfish here:

Eelco,thank you for your input.Except "intuition", my opinion that white wins I strenghened by playing advanced chess . I managed to beat Stockfish and then Houdini engine at long time controls (in both cases I used Stockfish for my partner).However this proves nothing .Both engines make some "stupid" moves and there are so many lines to analize here.I am affraid they don't see way how to make progress ,and ,from what I saw,search beyond depth 40 is needed to see if there is winning line.

Why do you think white wants queen exchange?  :confused:
Plan for white here is to capture black's "a" pawn while keeping his pieces for a long time on the board.At some point  white king should start to march towards the mid of the board.Long thread of mutual checks by queens will follow in the process.But will it end  by win or white really can't make progress it is hard to tell.Much stronger hardware then my quad is required to check this out unless someone has weeks of nodes crunching on disposal.
