I played deep fritz 10 against Zap!Chess Zanzibar 32-bit on my computer the result was
17.5 - 10.5 in favor of Fritz..
Anyone else getting this kind of result? Maybe 32-bit increase in strength is not as great as 64bit's?

What timecontrol?
Another thing is what hardware....?
because Zap!chess really gains strength with each additional CPU.
one single CPU Zap! against single engines maybe not be as strong as it is on a quad against quad

sorry
it was 28 games of 25min
im on 2core pentium 2.66ghz+2.66ghz 3gbram
so both engines used 2 threads, no permanent brain

Well, this kinda puts a huge question mark on Zanzibar cpu/64bit performance gain theory.

Exactly, with my Pentium Duo I played stronger with Fritz9 (1cpu use) than with Zap!Chess padeborn (2cpu use) on playchess in 3m0s and i can tell you that the amount of stupidity by Zap was enormously great, the bad moves by Zap was soo ugly... When I saw the Zap high in the rating lists (long timecontrols) I realized it is good when it calculates deep!
Zanzibar seems to be the same, good when calculation goes deep!

You get it for free if you buy Zap!Chess. http://www.chessbase.com/shop/product.asp?pid=269&user=&coin=
Talking about Fritz and Zappa, have you seen the latest results of the KOE tournament which is about half way through? If not go to http://www.kingofengines.co.uk/
